Artist Biography

Lion Arie Feijen (1947– ) is a contemporary Dutch painter who grew up under the guidance of his father, the artist Leo Feijen. Working in the tradition of the Dutch masters, he became known for his highly detailed paintings, rich colour harmonies and romantic realism. His work combines beauty, realism and atmosphere, and has been exhibited internationally, particularly in Germany and the United Kingdom. Feijen’s paintings can be found in private collections throughout Europe and beyond, and he is regarded as one of the leading contemporary artists working in the classical Dutch style.
